106 - History of American Civil War

This course will cover the American Civil War in detail. While primarily a military history course, it will use the war as a context to explore the politics and society of the time, as well as the many changes the country underwent as a result of the war. In addition, it will pay particular attention to Lincoln and his presidency, and include examining art inspired by the war.
